National Life Insurance posts Tk 9.04bn fund growth

Listed insurer National Life Insurance Company Limited has reported a nearly Tk 9.04 billion year-on-year increase in its life insurance fund, according to its unaudited financial results for the second quarter (April–June) of 2026.

The company disclosed the summary of its second-quarter financial statements through the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Tuesday.

As of June 30, 2026, the company’s consolidated life insurance fund stood at Tk 71.02 billion, up from Tk 61.98 billion a year earlier, reflecting an increase of Tk 9.0394 billion over the past year.

During the second quarter, National Life Insurance posted a surplus of Tk 2.05 billion after meeting total expenses and insurance claims, compared with Tk 1.69 billion in the same period of 2025.

However, for the first half of 2026 (January–June), the company’s surplus declined to Tk 837.6 million, down from Tk 2.02 billion in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The company’s consolidated net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) improved slightly to Tk 23.62 as of June 30, 2026, from Tk 23.19 a year earlier.
