World Press Freedom Day celebrated in Magura

Magura Correspondent : World Press Freedom Day was celebrated in Magura under the theme ‘Reporting in a Brave New World – The Influence of AI on Independent Media’. A discussion meeting and rally took place yesterday, Saturday, at 11 am. The festivities began with a vibrant rally that started from the Press Club and traversed several streets in the city. Following this, a discussion meeting was conducted in the Press Club auditorium.

The program was chaired by Professor Saidur Rahman, President of the Magura Press Club, and featured speeches from General Secretary Shafiqul Islam Shafiq, Joint Secretary Masum Billah, Office Secretary Sheikh Ilias Mithun, Sports Secretary Shahin Alam Tuhin, and members Liton Ghosh and Sharif Tehran Tutul, among others. The meeting addressed challenges facing free journalism, the safety and security of journalists, and the importance of delivering objective and creative news. The event was attended by fifty journalists from various print and electronic media outlets in the district.
