What the finance advisor said about the cancellation of thousand taka notes

Interim government finance adviser. Saleh Uddin Ahmed said that no decision has been taken to cancel the 1000 taka note.

Saleh Uddin said this to reporters after a courtesy meeting with the Finance Adviser at the Secretariat on Tuesday (August 20), the Ambassador of China and Canada to Bangladesh.

Dr. Saleh Uddin Ahmed said it is not right to say yes or no about them. We say keep it. There is no problem with it. These cannot be easily decided.

Asked whether it was a rumor, the financial advisor said, “I have not said anything from my side.” So I will not comment on rumors. It is a matter of Bangladesh Bank.
