Weapons and ammunition recovered at Maheshpur border in Jhenaidah

Imran Jhenaidah Correspondent: The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) conducted a raid in Baghadanga village on the Maheshpur border in Jhenaidah and recovered a firearm and bullets. However, the BGB could not arrest anyone in the incident.

This information was given in a press release sent by Assistant Director of Maheshpur 58 BGB Battalion, Munshi Imdadur Rahman on Thursday afternoon.

In a press release, the BGB said that a drive led by Subedar Atiyar Rahman of Baghadanga BOP recovered a firearm and bullets from a haystack in Baghadanga village around noon. The BGB has handed over the recovered weapons and bullets to Maheshpur Police Station through legal process.

Maheshpur Police Station OC Nazrul Islam said the BGB has handed over the recovered weapons and bullets to the police station.
