Skoot, ICT Division’s iDEA project portfolio startup, and Walton Digi-Tech Industries has signed on 13th of July a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly manufacture eco-friendly and advanced technology e-bikes in Bangladesh soon.
Through this strategic partnership, both companies hope will create better future for the e-bike industry, said officials during the signing ceremony held at Walton Digi-Tech head quarter in the city. It was signed by by Kazi Ridwan Ahamed, MD of Skoot, and Md. Touhidur Rahman, the Chief Business Officer of Walton Digi-Tech.
Skoot’s directors Sihab Khan and Parth Roy, and Walton Digi-Tech’s Head of Marketing Md. Taufiq Imam, Deputy Assistant Director of Sales Mr. Fuad Rahman and Deputy Director – Ebike Mr. Kaikobad Siddiquie also attended the signing ceremony.
Since its beginning in 2016, the Innovation Design and Entrepreneurship Academy (iDEA), a project of the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) under the ICT Division of the government, has sanctioned grants of BDT 10 lakh each to 385 potential startups at the pre-seed stage. “Skoot Ltd.” is one of the promising startups and it received a pre-seed grant from the iDEA project in 2022.
