A high-level Visa delegation led by Asia Pacific President Stephen Karpin met with Bangladesh Bank (BB) Governor Md Mostaqur Rahman at the central bank’s headquarters in Dhaka on Wednesday.
The meeting focused on strengthening and expanding Bangladesh’s digital payment ecosystem, including the TKPAY platform, as well as enhancing payment security.
The discussions also covered various issues of mutual interest between Bangladesh Bank and Visa.
BB Deputy Governors Dr Md Kabir Ahmed and Md Sarwar Hossain, along with senior officials from the central bank’s Payment Systems Department, attended the meeting.
The meeting reflects growing cooperation between Bangladesh Bank and global payment technology companies to promote secure, efficient and wider digital payment services in Bangladesh.
