USBCCI Celebrates America’s 250th Anniversary with ‘250 Years of Service & Beyond’ Event

B.Mirror Desk: The U.S.-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (USBCCI) hosted “Celebrating 250 Years of Service & Beyond – America 250” at the DoubleTree by Hilton New York LaGuardia Airport, bringing together elected officials, business leaders, professionals, nonprofit representatives and members of the Bangladeshi-American community.

The commemorative event honored the upcoming 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States while celebrating the enduring American values of freedom, democracy, innovation, diversity, public service and opportunity. It also highlighted the growing friendship and partnership between the United States and Bangladesh.


The program began with registration and professional networking, followed by the national anthems of the United States and Bangladesh and a special opening video presentation. Md. Liton Ahmed, Founder, President and CEO of USBCCI, delivered the welcome remarks and emphasized USBCCI’s commitment to strengthening bilateral business cooperation, entrepreneurship and community engagement.


Congresswoman Grace Meng, representing New York’s 6th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, delivered the keynote remarks. Her participation underscored the importance of public service, inclusive leadership and the contributions of diverse immigrant communities to the continued progress of the United States.
A major highlight of the program was the presentation of the USA 250 Service & Excellence Awards, recognizing individuals whose leadership, professional achievements and community service have made a meaningful impact. Award recipients represented a variety of sectors, including business, healthcare, real estate, accounting, media, public service and community development.
The program concluded with a networking luncheon, closing remarks and a group photo, providing attendees with an opportunity to develop new professional relationships and strengthen community partnerships.
