Union Bank PLC organizes business development conference

Union Bank PLC organized a virtual conference to review the overall business operations of the bank. All regional heads and branch managers participated in this conference held at the bank’s headquarters.

The esteemed Chairman of the Board of Directors, Farid Uddin Ahmed was present at the meeting. The Managing Director of Union Bank PLC, Mr. A.B.M. Mokammel Haque Chowdhury, presided over the meeting. Deputy General Managers and heads of all departments at the head office were also connected to the conference.

The conference extensively discussed the bank’s latest deposits, investments, foreign trade, income and expenditure, remittance income, and the current liquidity situation. The efforts and initiatives of regional heads and branch managers regarding business development and liquidity were appreciated.

The chief guest, the esteemed Chairman of the Board of Directors, Farid Uddin Ahmed on behalf of the board, highly praised the steps taken by the Bangladesh Bank to address the existing problems in the banking sector. He instructed all participants to appropriately highlight that Union Bank PLC is a full-fledged Islamic bank through their activities. He expressed gratitude for the strong efforts and courage of branch managers in achieving the business targets set for the current year and resolving temporary liquidity issues.
