BM Desk: On Sunday, June 15, two members of the UN Human Rights Commission’s Working Group on Enforced Disappearances came in Dhaka for a four-day visit. This is any organization member’s first visit to Bangladesh.
A diplomatic source in Dhaka confirmed the arrival of two members of the Working Group on Enforced Disappearances.
According to sources, Grazina Baranoska and Ana Lorena Delgadillo Perez, the vice chairmen of the Working Group on Enforced Disappearances, arrived in Dhaka on Sunday. During their journey to Dhaka, they plan to meet with their legal advisor, Dr. Asif Nazrul, the acting foreign secretary, members of the enforced disappearances commission, law enforcement authorities, and families of enforced disappearance victims.
After completing all paperwork, the two members of the Working Group on Enforced Disappearances are set to depart Dhaka on June 18.
