British MP and granddaughter of Bangabandhu, Tulip Siddiq, has officially launched her campaign for election in the upcoming British Parliament elections set for July 4.
Initially elected in 2015 from the Hampstead and Kilburn constituency in London, Tulip will now contest from the Hampstead and Highgate constituency. London Mayor Sadiq Khan officially kicked off Tulip Siddique’s campaign on Thursday night.
Tulip announced her campaign via the social media platform X, with Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Rehana and local councilors in attendance at the campaign ceremony.
