Anti-corruption debate competition held in Pabna

Pabna Correspondent: Anti-corruption rally, Essay and Debate competition were held to create anti-corruption awareness among school students in Pabna. Pabna Collectorate Public School and College team became champion and Imam Ghazali High School and College team became the runner-up in the debate competition. Tanzim Hasan of Pabna Collectorate Public School and College was selected as the best debater.

Deputy Commissioner Md Asaduzzaman led the Rally and Superintendent of Police Akbar Ali Munsi took out from Pabna Press Club premises and circled the main road of the city on Thursday. Deputy Director of Anti-Corruption Commission, Integrated District Office Md. Khairul Haque inaugurated the debate competition held at the Pabna Press Club auditorium. Later, the general secretary of the committee, ABM Fazlur Rahman addressed a discussion meeting, while District Anti-Corruption Committee Dr. Monowarul Ul Aziz presided over the event.

Dr Md Mansur Alam, President of Pabna Sahitya Bandash Club and District Correspondent of Business Mirror conducted and moderated the entire event.

Former vice-principal of Government Edward College Prof. Shahid Md Ibrahim, Special Correspondent of Machranga Television Uppal Mirza, Editor of Daily Sinsa and general secretary of Sahitya and Debate Club Pabna SM Mahbub Alam, journalist Shafiq Al Kamal performed the duties of judge. Finally the prizes were distributed among the debaters.
