On the last working day of the week, the main stock market of the country, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), ended the trading with a negative trend. The main index decreased by 36 points. Meanwhile, DSE saw the lowest volume of transactions in 19 working days.
According to sources, DSE’s main index ‘DSEX’ fell by 36.64 points on Thursday (July 18). Currently the index stands at 5,446 points.
Besides, another index of DSE ‘DSES’ has decreased by 10.43 points to 1191 points and ‘DS-30’ index has decreased by 8.11 points to 1953 points.
Shares and units worth Tk 371.52 million were traded in DSE today. 564 crore 41 lakh taka was traded on the previous working day.
A total of 395 shares and units of companies were exchanged on DSE on Thursday. Among the institutions that participated in the transaction, 38 companies increased in price, while 311 companies decreased in price. Besides, the share and unit prices of 46 companies were unchanged.
