After the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the stock market of the country has regained its bull momentum. On the last working day of the week, the main stock market, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), ended the trading with a big rise in price. On this day, the main index increased by 306 points. Besides, the transaction is Tk 1606 crore.
According to sources, DSE’s main index ‘DSEX’ rose by 306.02 points on Thursday (August 8). Currently the index stands at 5 thousand 924 points.
Besides, another index of DSE ‘DSES’ increased by 55.77 points to 1274 points and ‘DS-30’ index increased by 110.56 points to 2132 points.
Shares and units worth Tk 1606 crore 47 lakh were traded in DSE today. 775 crores 55 lakhs were traded on the previous working day.
Shares and units of a total of 398 companies were exchanged on DSE on Thursday. Among the institutions that participated in the transaction, 364 companies increased in price, while 27 companies decreased in price. Besides, the share and unit price of 7 companies were unchanged.
