On the last working day of the week, the country’s main bourse Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) saw a big rise in the index of shares of well-fundamental companies. Over Rs 852 crore was traded in the first two hours of the third day of the fall of the government.
According to sources, on Thursday (August 8), two hours after the start of DSE trading ie till 12:04 PM, the main index of DSE or ‘DSEX’ increased by 229 points and stood at 5,848 points. Along with the main index, the Shariah index or ‘DSES’ has increased by 37 points and the ‘DS-30’ index by 90 points and stands at 1256 and 2112 points respectively.
A total of Tk 852 crore 51 lakh shares and units were traded in DSE during the discussion period.
Among the traded companies, the share prices of 343 companies increased, 42 companies decreased and 7 companies remained unchanged.
