Trading has commenced on the nation’s primary capital market, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), on Sunday (July 20), marking the first working day of the week, with an increase in the price index. The share prices of the majority of companies have risen.
This information has been disclosed by sources at the DSE.
As per the sources, during the initial hour of trading at the DSE today, specifically until 11:30 am, the DSE’s main index, known as ‘DSEX’, experienced a rise of 52.87 points, reaching 5,185 points.
The Shariah index, referred to as ‘DSES’, increased by 17.04 points to 1,136 points, while the ‘DS-30’ index saw a rise of 29.79 points, reaching 1,966 points.
In the reviewed period, a total of 310 crore 06 lakh taka worth of shares and units were traded on the DSE. Among the companies involved in trading, the prices of 240 increased, 84 decreased, and the share prices of 64 companies remained stable.
