Humaira Azam has joined as the new Managing Director (MD) of Lankabangla Finance PLC. He has been providing leadership in the financial sector for the past 34 years in tackling multi-dimensional challenges in business restructuring and expansion.

Humaira Azam worked at Trust Bank and IPDC Finance as the country’s first woman CEO in the banking and non-banking sectors. During his professional career he has worked in various branches of Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, Foreign Trade, Treasury, Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Branch Banking, Islamic Banking, Credit Management, Capital Management, Financial Institutions and Securities.

Humaira Azam started her career at ANZ Grindledge Bank in 1990 as a Management Trainee. He has contributed significantly to the success of three multinational banks, one financial institution and two local private banks. During his tenure HSBC Bangladesh, Standard Chartered Bank and IPDC Finance demonstrated expertise in building strong structures, expanding businesses and implementing successful strategies.

Among the awards received by Humaira Azam are JCI Women of Inspiration Award and BRAC Bank Top Women Bankers Award.
