In addition to restoring confidence in the capital market, the newly appointed chairman of the regulatory body Bangladesh Securities Exchange Commission (BSEC) Khandkar Rashed Maksud said that he will work to bring five crore investors in the next four years. He said this after joining the BSEC on Monday (August 19).
Rashed Maksud said, the main goal is to restore the confidence of our investors in the capital market. We have 1.5 million investors in the capital market but not all are active, we need to restore their confidence and activate them.
He said, in the next four years, how to bring a total of five million investors to the capital market should be thought. At the same time, we have to work on correcting the mistakes of the past.
