The 4th Prime Bank New Year Cup Golf Tournament-2025 Begins

The four-day 4th Prime Bank New Year Cup Golf Tournament 2025 has commenced with great enthusiasm. Although the tournament began on December 24, its formal inauguration took place today, December 26, at the Army Golf Club.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Lieutenant General Khan Firoz Ahmed, OSP, NDC, AFWC, PSC (LPR), President of the Army Golf Club, who officially inaugurated the tournament.

Also present at the ceremony were Hassan O. Rashid, CEO of Prime Bank; Brigadier General Syed Ahmed Ali, PBGM, NDC (Retd.), Chief Executive Officer of Army Golf Club; Brigadier General Akhtar Shahid, SUP (Bar), NDC, PSC, G+, MPhil (LPR), Chairman of the Tournament Committee; Colonel Muhammad Shariful Islam, PSC, Golf Captain; Lieutenant Colonel Sayful Islam, AFWC, PSC, G, Member Secretary; Lieutenant Colonel Md. Golam Monzoor Siddique (Retd.), Director (Operations & Sports); Lieutenant Colonel A. K. M. Saiful Bahar (Retd.), Director (Admin & Management), along with members of the Executive Committee of the club and other distinguished guests.

The tournament is being held across five categories for amateur golfers, namely Regular, Veteran, Senior, Ladies and Junior. Approximately 850 golfers, including foreign participants, are taking part in the competition.

The tournament will conclude formally with a prize-giving ceremony on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 8:00 PM.
