Four individuals accused of torturing a student in Suhrawardy Udyan on November 8 have been temporarily expelled from Dhaka University.

The university administration has requested reasons for not implementing permanent expulsion within seven working days.

In a meeting of the Disciplinary Council at the Senate building on Monday, the decision for the temporary expulsion of Nawab Ali Chowdhury was approved. The meeting was presided over by Vice-Chancellor ASM Maksud Kamal.
