Tajuddin Ahmad Award given to seven meritorious students

For their academic excellence, seven Dhaka University students received awards from the Tajuddin Ahmad Memorial Trust Fund.

At a ceremony on Monday at the university’s Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban, Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor A. S. M. Maksud Kamal presented the Tajuddin Ahmad Gold Medal, scholarship, and prize to the recipients as the event’s chief guest.

The event was chaired by DU Treasurer Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, with special guests Simin Hossain Rimi MP, a member of the Trustee Board, and Muhammad Samad, DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration), speaking.

Ahmad Mostofa Kamal provided the memorial lecture, and Sharmin Ahmad, a Trust Fund donor, presented the welcome address. Sabre Ahmed Chowdhury, the head of DU’s Department of Peace and Conflict Studies, was also present in the ceremony with other guests.
