Tarique Rahman Meets Top Business Leaders in Gulshan

B Mirror Report : BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is holding a meeting with the country’s leading business figures at the BNP Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan, Dhaka.

The meeting began at 7:00pm and is being attended by senior BNP leaders, including Standing Committee members Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku.

A large number of prominent business leaders and heads of trade bodies are participating in the discussion. Among them are International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Bangladesh President Mahbubur Rahman; BSRM Chairman Ali Hossein Akbar Ali; former FBCCI presidents Mir Nasir Hossain and A K Azad; Square Group Managing Director Tapan Chowdhury; former BTMA President Matin Chowdhury; and Bangladesh Chamber of Industries (BCI) President Anwar Ul Alam Chowdhury Parvez.

Also present are Meghna Group of Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mostafa Kamal, Uttara Motor Corporation Limited Chairman Matiur Rahman, MCCI President Kamran T Rahman, former BGMEA President Kutubuddin Ahmed, former BKMEA President Fazlul Haque, former MCCI President Nihad Kabir, BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan, BTMA President Shawkat Aziz, BKMEA President Mohammad Hatem, Steel Mill Owners Association President Jahangir Alam, ICC Bangladesh Executive Member and Transcom Group CEO Simeen Rahman, and Pran Group Chairman and CEO Ahsan Khan Chowdhury.

Other participants include Partex Group’s Azizul Qayeser, former DCCI President Hossain Khaled, DCCI President Tashkin Ahmed, BGPMA President Md. Shahriar, BCMEA President Moynul Islam, Bangladesh Association of Pharmaceutical Industries (BAPI) President Abdul Muktadir, BAB President Abdul Hai Sarker, Sikom Group Managing Director Amirul Haque, BCI Senior Vice President Preeti Chakraborty, Bangladesh Employers’ Federation President Fazle Shamsul Ehsan, and UCB Chairman Sharif Zahir.

The meeting is seen as part of BNP’s engagement with the business community to exchange views on economic issues, investment climate, and challenges facing the country’s private sector.
