Syed Mizanur Rahman appointed as MD of Meghna Bank

Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, a seasoned professional with almost three decades of experience in the financial services sector, has been appointed as the Managing Director of Meghna Bank PLC, effective from December 4, 2025.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Rahman was serving AB Bank as Managing Director and CEO.

He started his career with Novartis in 1993 previously known as Ciba-Geigy (Bangladesh) Limited and subsequently served at Youngone and at Beximco before joining the Banking Industry.

He has worked at Dhaka Bank, IPDC, Bank Al Falah and United Commercial Bank in key positions. Over the years, Mr. Rahman acquired extensive knowledge in different segments of the banking industry with a distinct focus on Branch Banking, Retail, Process transformation, Business Development and Corporate Communication.

He participated in a good number of professional and management development trainings, workshops and seminars both at home and abroad including USA, Malaysia & India.

Mr. Rahman completed his MBA from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka.
