Starlink Makes its Mark in Bangladesh with Tk 4,200/month Plans

B Mirror Desk : On May 20, the company announced via its X account that “Starlink’s high-speed, low-latency internet is now accessible in Bangladesh!” As stated on the official website, Starlink is offered in Bangladesh and Bhutan, among other South Asian nations. At launch, Starlink is offering two internet packages:

  • Starlink Residential: Tk 6,000/month.
  • Residential Lite: Tk 4,200/month.

Alongside the monthly fees, there is a one-time installation charge of Tk 47,000 for the necessary equipment. Both plans provide unlimited data with speeds reaching up to 300 Mbps. Optional mounts and accessories for device installation are available, along with a shipping and handling fee.

Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser at the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology, stated on his official Facebook account, ‘While the cost is high, this initiative offers a sustainable option for premium customers seeking high-quality, high-speed internet services. Furthermore, in regions lacking fiber or high-speed internet access, businesses will have the chance to grow, and NGOs, freelancers, and entrepreneurs will benefit from reliable high-speed internet year-round.’
