A workshop titled ‘Shari’ah Compliance in Banking Operations’ was organized by Standard Bank PLC on 21 July 2025 at the Bank’s Head Office. The session was presided over by Md. Habibur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of the Bank, Dr. Muhammed Saifullah, Chairman of the Bank’s Shari’ah Supervisory Committee attended the workshop as the Chief Guest. In his keynote speech, Dr. Saifullah emphasized the importance of Shari’ah compliance in banking activities and provided valuable guidance on the responsibilities of bankers in this regard. The workshop was moderated by Md. Siddiqur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director of the Bank. Heads of Branches, Manager Operations, and Investment In-Charges from various branches participated in the workshop virtually. In addition, executives and officers from relevant departments at the Head Office including the Shari’ah Secretariat Division, Investment Risk Management Division, International Division, SME Division, and others also took part in the program.
