Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur, governor of Bangladesh Bank, stated: “The country’s economy is doing well overall. Future economic performance will be even greater if the political climate stays stable. Speaking at a regional seminar on MFI–Bank Linkage at the Water Garden Resort’s conference hall in Tangail on Saturday, November 8, he delivered these statements in the afternoon.
Speaking about progress in recovering laundered money, he said, “Lawyers have been sent to England from several banks. They are trying to establish the claims of various groups of companies. If successful, we will soon see positive results.”
The seminar was presided over by MRA’s Executive Vice Chairman Dr. Mohammad Helal Uddin, and also featured speeches by Sonali Bank’s Managing Director Shawkat Ali Khan, BRAC Bank’s Additional Managing Director Syed Abdul Momen, among others.
