Mrinal Kanti Roy, Tangail Correspondent: The Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) Trustee Board has distributed compensation cheques to victims of road accidents in Tangail district. The cheque distribution ceremony was held on Saturday afternoon at the conference room of the Tangail Deputy Commissioner’s office, jointly organized by the district administration and BRTA’s Tangail Circle.
Abu Momtaz Sad Uddin Ahmed, BRTA Chairman and Additional Secretary, attended the event as the chief guest and delivered a speech highlighting the government’s commitment to supporting road accident victims and their families. A total of 24 individuals received compensation cheques amounting to Tk 12.3 million.
Also present at the event were Additional District Magistrate Md. Mahbub Hasan, Assistant Director (Engineering) Sheikh Mahtab Uddin Ahmed, and Motor Vehicle Inspector Enamul Haque Emon, among others. The initiative reflects BRTA’s ongoing efforts to provide financial assistance and promote road safety awareness across the country.
