Mr. Md. Akikur Rahman, Honorable Sponsor Director and a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of Southeast Bank PLC., breathed his last on 20 March 2025 (Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un). Md. Akikur Rahman was born on February 15, 1945 in a respected Muslim family of Sunarpara, Nabarun, Sylhet. He was associated with Southeast Bank PLC. since its inception as a Sponsor Director. He was also the Vice Chairman of the Bank from 2023-2024.

He was the Chairman of RAR Investment Limited, United Kingdom. He was also the Chairman of Dorking Muslim Community Association, United Kingdom. He was the Managing Director of RAR Holding Limited. He was also the Vice Chairman of International Medical College and Hospital, Gazipur, Bangladesh.
