Southeast Bank arranged Lead Bank Training Program in Narayanganj District

Under the guidance of Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU), recently Southeast Bank as lead bank arranged the Lead Bank Training Program on ‘Prevention of Money Laundering & Combating Financing of Terrorism’ which brought together officials from various banks operating in the Narayanganj District.

Mr. Md. Mostakur Rahman, Director of BFIU, graced the event as the chief guest, while Mr. Mohammed Rashedul Amin, the DMD of Southeast Bank PLC chaired the program. The welcome address was delivered by Mr. Khorshed Alam Chowdhury, CAMLCO of Southeast Bank, setting an impactful tone for the program.

More than 130 participants from 53 scheduled banks operating in Narayanganj district took part in the program. They engaged in four dynamic interactive sessions led by BFIU resource persons- Mr. Md. Rezwanur Rahman, Additional Director; Mr. Md. Hafizur Rahman Khan, Joint Director; and Mr. A.N.M. Kalim Uddin Hasan Tushar, Joint Director. The sessions covered a wide range of topics on AML & CFT. A quiz competition took place at the end of the program. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates and awards to the participants and winners respectively.
