A delegation of Shippers’ Council of Bangladesh (SCB) led by its Chairman, Rezaul Karim paid a courtesy call on Hon’ble Industries Minister, Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, MP at the Conference Room of the Ministry of Industries on Thursday. 

SCB Senior Vice Chairman Ariful Ahsan; Vice Chairman Ganesh Chandra Saha & Director Ziaul Islam also attended the meeting, reads a press release. 

At the beginning SCB Chairman congratulated the Hon’ble Minister and introduced the SCB Board of Directors. Then he placed the SCB activities to the Minister and said the Shippers’ Council has been playing a vital role for resolving problems of Exporters and Importers from the beginning of its establishment.

SCB Chairman said the present Government took commendable steps for Industry friendly Infrastructure Development. Now the Ministry of Industries will take initiative for dynamic and strengthen activities under the leadership of Hon’ble Minister. 

As requested by SCB Chairman, the Industry Minister gives assurance for including shippers’ Council as a Member in the “BSTI Council” of Bangladesh Standard & Testing Institute (BSTI).
