Shepherd Industries PLC, a listed company in the textile sector, has decided to sell land to repay its loans. According to information from the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the company will sell the land for Tk 70 million (7 crore).
The company’s board has approved the sale of 10 kathas, 8 chhataks, and 46 square feet of land located in the RAJUK Purbachal New City Project. The land, originally purchased for Tk 32.9 million (3.29 crore), will be sold for Tk 70 million, resulting in a capital gain of Tk 37.1 million (3.71 crore).
The entire proceeds from the sale will be used to pay off existing loans.
