Shares of four more companies moved to Z category

The categories of four companies listed on the capital market have been changed to ‘Z’ category. The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has transferred the companies from ‘A’ and ‘N’ categories to ‘Z’ category.

This information has been revealed by Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).

The companies are – Aftab Automobiles, Navana CNG, Sikder Insurance and Orion Pharma Limited.

Among these companies, Aftab Automobiles, Navana CNG and Orion Pharma have been transferred from ‘A’ to ‘Z’ category. And Sikder Insurance has been transferred from ‘N’ to ‘Z’ category.

According to sources, as per the directives of the capital market regulator Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), if a company does not distribute at least 80 percent of the declared dividend within the stipulated time, it can be classified as ‘Z’ category. The boards of directors of the four companies mentioned above did not pay dividends to the shareholders within the stipulated time.

The shares of the companies will be traded in the ‘Z’ category from today, Wednesday (February 5).
