Shahjalal Islami Bank Signs MoU with National Pension Authority

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) been signed between the National Pension Authority and Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC on 12th November 2025 at the conference room of the Finance Division, Bangladesh Secretariat for the purpose of smoothly implementing the registration, collection of subscription and API activities of the Universal Pension Scheme. In the presence of Dr. Md. Khairuzzaman Mozumder, Secretary, Finance Division, Ministry of Finance, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, the Executive Chairman of the National Pension Authority, Mr. Md. Mahiuddin Khan and the Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC Mr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.

Under this agreement, Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC as a banking service provider, will be able to collect installments from pension holders under the Universal Pension Scheme through various banking channels.

Among others, the Assistant General Manager (Deputy Secretary) of the National Pension Authority Ms. Sirazam Munira, the SAVP of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC Mr. Md. Jakir Hossain and the Head of the Public Relations Department & Bank Foundation of the bank Mr. K. M. Harunur Rashid were present at the signing ceremony.
