Shahjalal Islami Bank Foundation installed 50 Units of solar lights

As part of its’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, Shahjalal Islami Bank Foundation installed 50 Units of solar lights in Lakshmipur district. The implementation of this environmentally friendly project will lighten various rural roads and highways of the district, while also reducing dependence on electricity, according to a recent physical inspection.

 

The light of each solar light can be seen on the ground and extends to an area of about 200 yards. As a result, safe movement is ensured on roads and public roads that have been dark for a long time. Common people, pedestrians and students can enjoy the benefits of this initiative especially during evening and night time. The manager of Shahjalal Islami Bank’s Lakshmipur branch Mr. Md. Humayun Kabir, told the installation of solar lights powered by solar electricity of Shahjalal Islami Bank Foundation in Lakshmipur through the big pillar from Hajipara Union of Chandraganj Upazila has been completed.

 

This social welfare initiative will save electricity on the one hand, and on the other hand, the use of environmentally friendly energy will increase and will play a positive role in improving the quality of life of the rural population. Local residents said that this initiative of installing solar lights in rural areas will not only ensure safe movement but also help reduce various crime trends including theft and robbery. The locals have welcomed such a public welfare initiative. The said activity will continue in the near future on behalf of Shahjalal Islami Bank Foundation.
