On the fourth working day of the week, the main capital market of the country, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), ended the trading with rising prices. Along with this, the transactions in DSE exceeded 1200 crore rupees.

According to sources, on Wednesday (August 14), DSE’s main index ‘DSEX’ increased by 84.81 points. Currently the index stands at 5 thousand 952 points.

Besides, another index of DSE ‘DSES’ increased by 14.98 points to 1270 points and ‘DS-30’ index increased by 63 points to 2197 points.

Shares and units worth Tk 1,243 crore 98 lakhs were traded in DSE today. 1 thousand 15 crores 01 lakhs were traded on the previous working day.

A total of 397 shares and units of companies were exchanged on DSE on Wednesday. Among the institutions that participated in the transaction, 116 companies increased in price, while 239 companies decreased in price. Besides, the share and unit price of 42 companies remained unchanged.
