Prime Bank Hosts Kickoff for ‘Customer Awareness Week 2025’

Prime Bank PLC., in collaboration with Bangladesh Bank, recently organized the inaugural ceremony of ‘Customer Awareness Week 2025 (Dhaka Division)’ at the City Convention Hall in Kishoreganj. This event is organized under the theme ‘Building Awareness for Financial Security.’

The event was graced by Md. Niamul Kabir, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, as the Chief Guest. Joydeb Chandra Banik, Director of Bangladesh Bank–Mymensingh Office and Md. Iqbal Hossain, Deputy Managing Director of Prime Bank PLC, attended as Special Guests. The program was presided over by Munir Ahmed Chowdhury, Director of the Financial Integrity and Customer Services Department of Bangladesh Bank. The welcome speech at the event was delivered by Mohammad Mahenur Alam, Additional Director of the FICSD of Bangladesh Bank and Head of the Strategic Communication Team.

Senior officials from Bangladesh Bank, senior representatives from 54 banks and 19 non-bank financial institutions, along with local customers, business leaders and dignitaries, were also present at the event.

In addition, a PowerPoint presentation on Prime Bank’s innovative initiative ‘Prime Serve’ and the process of resolving customer complaints was delivered by Kazi Reshad Mahbub, Head of Consumer Protection and Service Quality of Prime Bank.

The ceremony featured extensive discussions on key aspects of banking safety- including secure digital transactions, fraud prevention strategies, cyber risks, customer grievance redressal mechanisms, data protection, banking policies and the rights and responsibilities of customers. Several sessions were held on financial inclusion and customer protection to ensure that people from all walks of life can access financial services easily, safely and confidently.

At the end of the event, customer representative Advocate Kamal Siddque and Fakir Mazhar expressed gratitude to Bangladesh Bank, Prime Bank and all attendees. He emphasized the importance of continuing such awareness initiatives in the future, expressing hope that these efforts will significantly contribute to building a more secure, transparent and customer-friendly financial sector in Bangladesh.
