Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has increased the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders for the month of January. According to the new announcement, the price of a 12-kg cylinder has increased by four taka.
The new price of LPG has been announced as a result of the change in the value added tax (MUSC) rate on LPG.
The new prices were announced in a notification on Tuesday (January 14), which will be effective from this evening.
According to the announcement, the price of a 12-kg cylinder at the consumer level has been fixed at Tk 1,459, which was fixed at Tk 1,455 at the beginning of the month.
In addition, the price of gas per kilogram, including VAT, at the consumer level at private LPG retail points has been set at Tk 121.56, and the price of gas supplied in liquid form through the reticulated system has been set at Tk 117.81.
The new price of LPG (auto gas) used in vehicles has been set at 67 taka 27 paisa per liter, which was previously 66 taka 78 paisa.
