PM discusses reopening of closed textile factories

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today held a meeting with officials of the Ministry of Textiles and Jute and relevant stakeholders to discuss closed factories under the ministry.

The meeting was held this morning at the Prime Minister’s Office in the Bangladesh Secretariat, Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon said.

He said the meeting discussed various issues, including ways to reopen the closed factories.

Textiles and Jute Minister Khandaker Abdul Muktadir, Prime Minister’s Political and Industrial Affairs Adviser Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, State Minister for Textiles and Jute Shariful Alam, and Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Executive Chairman Chowdhury Ashiq Mahmud Bin Harun, among others, were present.
