Parveen Akter has joined Bangladesh Development Bank PLC. as the new Deputy Managing Director. The Financial Institutions Division has issued a circular in this connection recently. Previously she was working as DMD at the Ansar-VDP Unnayan Bank. Parveen Akter started her career in 1996 as a Senior Officer at Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation.

She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Dhaka in 1988 and her Master’s degree from the same Department in 1990. During her career, she served as General Manager of Bangladesh Krishi Bank and Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation. As a General Manager in Bangladesh Krishi Bank she works in International & Accounts, ICT, Internal Control & Compliance and Recovery Divisions. She also served as Deputy Managing Director at Agrani Bank PLC. Additionally, she has participated in various training programs, workshops, and seminars both at home and abroad.
