Over 150 Stocks Fall as DSE Sees Lower Trading Volume

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the nation’s primary stock exchange, saw a mixed reaction in the price indexes as trading concluded on the final business day of the week. While the overall trading volume decreased marginally in terms of money on this particular day, the prices of 154 businesses rose.

This information was obtained from sources at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).

According to the sources, on Thursday (October 16), the DSE’s main index, DSEX, increased by 2.90 points, currently standing at 5,119 points.

Meanwhile, the DSE’s other index, DSES, dropped by 5.04 points to 1,086 points, and the DS30 index fell by 0.86 points to 1,967 points.

Today, shares and units worth Tk 444.50 crore were traded on the DSE. In comparison, the previous working day saw a total transaction of Tk 487.62 crore.

A total of 398 companies’ shares and units were traded on the DSE today. Among them, prices increased for 154 companies, decreased for 179 companies, and remained unchanged for 65 companies.
