A new retail price has been fixed for LP gas. For the month of December, the price of a 12-kg cylinder has been increased by Tk 38 from Tk 1,215 to Tk 1,253.
The price of autogas has also been raised from Tk 55.58 to Tk 57.32 per litre. The new rates were announced on Tuesday (2 December) by the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission.
These prices will come into effect from the evening.
Earlier, on Monday (1 December), the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources increased the retail price of all types of fuel oil by Tk 2 per litre. The price adjustment was made according to the revised pricing formula aligned with global market fluctuations.
In a press release signed by the ministry’s Information and Public Relations Officer Md. Arif Sadeq, the new per-litre prices were announced:
- Diesel: Tk 102 → Tk 104
- Octane: Tk 122 → Tk 124
- Petrol: Tk 118 → Tk 120
- Kerosene: Tk 114 → Tk 116
The notice further stated that under the automated pricing system, domestic consumer fuel prices are being adjusted monthly based on international market movements. The December adjustment aims to ensure fuel supply at comparatively affordable rates in line with the revised formula.
