As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, NCC Bank PLC has provided a modern ambulance equipped with medical facilities to Zia Heart Foundation, Dinajpur, to support emergency healthcare services for cardiac patients in the region. Recently, at the Secretariat, in the presence of Professor Dr. A. Z. M. Zahid Hossain, Minister for Women and Children Affairs and Social Welfare, and Ms. Farzana Sharmin, MP, State Minister for Social Welfare, Md. Nurun Newaz Salim, Chairman of NCC Bank handed over the keys of the ambulance to A. K. M. Azad, General Secretary of Zia Heart Foundation, Dinajpur. Dr. Mohammad Abu Yusuf, Secretary, Ministry of Social Welfare; Engineer Abdus Salam, Vice Chairman, Khairul Alam Chaklader, Director and Chairman of the Executive Committee; M. Shamsul Arefin, Managing Director; Md. Zakir Anam, Additional Managing Director of NCC Bank; Khalekuzzaman Babu, Senior Member of the Governing Board, Anwarul Kabir, Treasurer; Professor Dr. Shah Alam Ashrafi, Development Advisor; Syed Mezba Alam, CEO; Md. Rafiqul Islam, Assistant Officer of Zia Heart Foundation, Dinajpur; and other officials from both organizations were present on the occasion.
Speaking at the event, Professor Dr. A. Z. M. Zahid Hossain, MP, Minister for Women and Children Affairs and Social Welfare appreciated NCC Bank for undertaking the initiative. He said the government is working to improve the country’s overall healthcare and medical services and emphasized the importance of greater participation by the private sector in strengthening the healthcare system. He expressed hope that other corporate organizations would also come forward and play a more active role in CSR initiatives for the welfare of the people.
