NBR may terminate contract with Genexil.

Since the agreement with the National Board of Revenue (NBR) regarding the Electronic Fiscal Device (EFD), stock market-listed Genexil Infosys Limited has resorted to step-by-step lies in supply. Although EFD was obliged to bring the machine from Acino Corporation, Genexil brought it from another company. Genexil failed to do so despite the obligation to store data for two years. The company could not even install 20,000 EFDs on time. Due to which NBR has asked the company to explain the breach of contract. The revenue collection agency may cancel the contract with Genexil if it does not get a satisfactory response.

However, Genexil authorities say that they have imported EFD from other companies as Aceno Corporation’s supply has stopped. This information is known from the source of NBR.

According to sources, NBR constituted two committees due to false information provided by Genexil Infosys in the supply of EFDs. The reports of the two committees found various types of misinformation and inconsistencies by Genexil. Initially, the company mentioned in the agreement was obliged to bring the EFD from Aceno Corporation, but Genexil Infosys brought it from another company and supplied it. Apart from this, 20,000 EFD machines are supposed to be supplied within the stipulated time, but the company has already installed 12,000 machines. In addition, one of the terms of the contract was to store customer data for two years; But the two committee reports of NBR did not find any information about data storage.

NBR has written to Genexil Infosys seeking to know the reason why it violated these terms of the agreement.

If asked, the member responsible for VAT implementation of NBR. Abdur Rauf said Genexil Esphosis did not supply the company’s EFD machine as stipulated in the contract. Due to which a show cause notice has been issued to the company. Further action will be taken after the reply to the notice.

Sources also said that the inquiry committee formed by NBR has found preliminary evidence of serious irregularities in the supply of EFDs. Evidence of various inconsistencies in the terms of the contract has also been found. One of them is EFD of Acino Corporation. So that 5-G support will be found. But the company claims, Aceino Corporation has stopped supplying such EFDs. So they could not bring EFD from Aceno Corporation. Genexil has not provided any kind of training, even though there is provision for training of officers at home and abroad to manage EFD in the contract. Apart from this, although there are various contracts including human resources appointment, the company has not followed them properly. For these reasons, NBR has asked Genexil Infosys to respond to the notice with necessary documents within the next 28 working days. This was stated in a notice signed by the chairman of the organization, Abdur Rahman Khan. Apart from this, NBR also said that if a proper response to the contract is not received in the notice, necessary action will be taken according to the terms of the breach of contract.
