BM Desk : Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami On Tuesday, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that the country does not want elections of any kind and that they should be held in a fair manner so that people can exercise their right to vote. “Elections will be possible if the roadmap is followed. According to BSS, the Chief Advisor has already made the national election schedule public. We think it would have been better if the elections had taken place before to Ramadan. The elections shouldn’t be delayed past April if there are any.
We must guarantee that these elections are just and that people can fully exercise their right to vote,” he remarked. Dr. Shafiqur was speaking at an Eid reunion in Borolekha, organized by the Jamaat Borolekha upazila unit. The event also featured speeches from Jamaat Islami assistant secretary general Ehasanul Mahbub Jobaeyr, Sylhet city ameer Fakhrul Islam, and district unit secretary Yeamir Ali, among others. Dr. Shafiqur called for actions to safeguard the voting rights of youth and expatriates. He expressed Jamaat’s hope for a free and fair election, emphasizing that interference from any foreign nation in Bangladesh’s elections is unwelcome. He stated, “I want to express my gratitude to the youth.
They have transformed Bangladesh. We do not wish to witness a chaotic Bangladesh. We aspire for a compassionate Bangladesh. You will take on a more courageous role in creating a beautiful Bangladesh in the future.” Criticizing the current education system, the Jamaat Ameer asserted that it must be reformed, as it fails to cultivate individuals with moral integrity. Dr. Shafiqur mentioned that if Jamaat comes to power, it will prioritize significant reforms in the education system, ensuring that no one remains unemployed after receiving an education. Earlier, he engaged in discussions with the residents of his village in Tulapur.
