MUJ Bangladesh Mofusal Journalists Union Approval: President Kamal Bhuiyan, Secretary Aftab Momin Bhuiyan

The Bangladesh Mofusal Union of Journalists (BMUJ) Feni District Committee has received approval for its third term, covering the years 2025-2026. This announcement was made in a statement signed by the central president, Alhaj Sohel Ahmed, and the central general secretary, Shibli Sadiq Khan, on Thursday, May 8.

The newly approved committee consists of 36 members, with Md. Kamal Uddin Bhuiyan, the Feni Gaurab Editor and Bangladesh Today District Representative, serving as president, and Aftab Hossain Momin Bhuiyan, District Representative of Dainik Banga Sangbad and Daily Business Mirror, as general secretary.

The committee also includes Mohammad Sheikh Kamal from Daily Ittefaq and Feni Soom as vice-president, along with joint general secretaries Zahirul Islam Jahangir from Daily Samakal, Kazi Nurul Alam Nilu from Daily Naya Paygam, and Md. Atiqur Rahman Rozen from Daily Alokit Pratidin. Anwar Hossain from Daily Desher Patra has been appointed treasurer, while Alauddin Sabuj from Daily Swadesh Bichitra/Rajdhani TV will serve as organizing secretary. Md. Gaziul Haque from Daily Bangladesh Kantha has been designated as office secretary, with additional office secretaries including Abdul Aziz Sayem from Daily Nikhad Khabar, Nurul Alam Mohabbat from Daily Notun Alo Pratidin, Md. Mizanur Rahman (Palash) from Daily Ganotadanta, Kamrul Hasan Nirab from Daily Amar Feni, and Shahidul Islam Tota from Weekly Feni Swasthakatha, who will oversee social welfare.

Associate members are Zahirul Islam Mitul Chowdhury (Sangram Pratidin), Md. Shahadat Hossain (Desh Pratidin), Tajul Islam (Weekly Boishakhi Bani), Saharullah Bahar (Daily Swadesh Bichitra), Rafiq Ali (Daily Baratman Katha) and Kazi Wazer Ahmed (Banga Sangbad) among others.
