Ministry approves sulfuric acid imports to stabilize domestic market

B Mirror Report: The Ministry of Commerce has officially approved the import of sulfuric acid to address supply shortages and maintain long-term balance in the domestic industrial sector.

The decision follows urgent appeals from private sector stakeholders and extensive consultations with industrial entrepreneurs, who had highlighted a potential deficit in the local market, according to a ministry press release.

By allowing imports, the government aims to curb price fluctuations and provide manufacturers with a stable supply, ensuring uninterrupted industrial operations.

This regulatory move underscores the administration’s proactive approach to stabilizing prices of critical industrial chemicals amid changing global supply conditions.
