The reassessment of land, factory buildings, warehouses, and other infrastructure of Matin Spinning Mills Limited, a textile firm listed on the stock exchange, has raised the value of the company’s assets by approximately Tk 132 crore.
According to the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the asset value prior to the revaluation was Tk 245.37 crore. However, based on the current market valuation, the new asset value is now Tk 377.24 crore. This has resulted in an increase of Tk 131.87 crore in the company’s total assets.
The revaluation was conducted by Hawlader Maria & Company, with the firm’s partner Mohammad Golam Sarwar acting as the auditor.
Such asset revaluation initiatives typically reflect the true market value of the company and present its financial foundation to investors in a clearer way. Nevertheless, this valuation does not have a direct impact on the company’s income or dividends, but it may lead to changes in the company’s net asset value and accounting.
