Krishi Bank Vows Profitability at Brahmanbaria Meet

Niaz Brahmanbaria Correspondent: Bangladesh Krishi Bank organized a Business Development Conference in Brahmanbaria focusing on loan recovery and disbursement, deposit mobilization, and remittance collection. The event brought together branch managers, field officers, and employees at all levels to strategize business growth and improvement.

The day-long conference was held on Saturday at the Party Center of R.A. Khan Tower on Dr. Faridul Huda Road, organized by the Principal Regional Office of Krishi Bank in Brahmanbaria.

Md. A. Rahim, Deputy Managing Director-1 (DMD-1) from Krishi Bank’s Head Office, was present as the chief guest. The event was presided over by Mohammad Yusuf Khan, Principal Regional Manager (Deputy General Manager) of the Brahmanbaria office. Special guests included Md. Mamunur Rashid, General Manager (Loan Recovery Division), Md. Fateh Khan, Divisional General Manager of Cumilla, and Probir Kumar Das, Divisional Audit Officer of the Cumilla office, among others.

During the conference, Mohammad Yusuf Khan presented the overall performance of 28 branches in Brahmanbaria. DMD-1 Md. A. Rahim delivered practical banking insights in an engaging manner and presented a roadmap for transforming Krishi Bank into a profitable institution within the current fiscal year. Participants pledged to work collectively toward this goal.

He encouraged all staff to focus on increasing savings deposits and improving non-performing loan (NPL) recovery.

Throughout the day, extensive discussions were held on business development strategies for the 2025–26 fiscal year, particularly focusing on loan recovery, disbursement, deposit growth, and remittance collection with active participation from branch managers, field workers, and all levels of staff.
