Janata Bank PLC has achieved a Top Ten Award for remittance collection in 2025, being recognized as one of the country’s top 10 banks in this sector.
The award was presented at the opening ceremony of the “Branding Bangladesh” World Conference Series 2026, organized by the Center for NRB, held at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital.
The event was attended by Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapan as the chief guest. Special guests included State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obayed Islam and State Minister for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Md. Nurul Haque.
The program was chaired by M. S. Sekil Chowdhury, Chairman of the Center for NRB, and was attended by expatriate Bangladeshis and distinguished individuals from various sectors. On behalf of Janata Bank, the award was received by Sabikun Nahar, Deputy General Manager of the bank’s Foreign Remittance Department.
