Janata Bank signs deal with ministry to launch expatriate debit card

Janata Bank PLC has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment to implement the “Expatriate Debit Card” under the first phase of the Expatriate Card programme.

The agreement was signed on Monday, August 10, in the presence of State Minister for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Md Nurul Haque, MP.

Ministry Secretary Md Mokhter Ahmed and Janata Bank Managing Director Md Mojibor Rahman signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.

Managing Director of Bangladesh Overseas Employment and Services Limited (BOESL) Mohammad Rashedul Haque, Probashi Kallyan Bank Managing Director Wahida Begum, Joint Secretary of the ministry Debajit Singh, and Janata Bank General Managers Mohammad Anis and Mohammad Shafayet Hossain, among others, attended the signing ceremony.
