Janata Bank PLC held its Barishal divisional branch managers’ conference at a local hotel on Thursday, October 8, 2026.

Managing Director Md Mojibur Rahman attended the conference as the chief guest. Deputy Managing Director Md Nurul Huda and General Manager of the bank’s head office Mohammad Safayet Hossain were present as special guests.

General Manager of the Barishal Divisional Office Md Sirajul Islam Chowdhury chaired the conference, which was attended by relevant executives and branch managers under the divisional office.

Addressing the conference, Managing Director Md Mojibur Rahman urged the branch managers to take effective steps to recover classified defaulted loans and contribute to creating new entrepreneurs through increased investment in the CMSME sector.

He also stressed the importance of strengthening the bank’s efforts to support new entrepreneurs and expand financing opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses.
